A Little About Me

Like a wild flower in a foreign land, sometimes I feel like I don’t belong here, or anywhere for that matter.

Asslaam Alykum Warahamtullahi Wabarakatuhu my dear readers,

I am Aisha Adesina, a first year student in the Bachelor of Islamic Finance program. On the 28th of October 2023, I moved to Malaysia from Saudi Arabia to study in IIUM. Previously, I lived in Saudi for 17 years and although I’m from Nigeria, I’ve only been there twice.

One of my fears of coming to Malaysia was that I’d find it hard to settle in. However, the more I spent time here, interacting with my professors and fellow students, the more I felt at home. And like a wild flower, I felt like I was blossoming and blooming in the garden of knowledge and virtue. Join me on my journey of Usrah 1 Classes.
